Day 1 of the trip to Krakow. Gathering at the airport. Gaby will get me to Weert, Marianne and Hein pick me up at Eindhoven railstation. She's going to miss me, she says. Well before the appointed time, we are at the ‘luchthaven’, eh airport.
Marianne says goodbye, or do we say goodbye? and goes to Wessem. Hein gets one last instruction on the travel documents, carefully curated by Marianne.
We sit outside in some sunshine. Hein makes a groepsapp, I get coffee. Johan reacts first and together with Eric met us after 10 minutes. Hein knows both from the previous trip. We introduce ourselves to each other. Hans comes soon after to our table, not much later followed by Michel. Greet and introducing, repeat. Time for a visit to the toilet. In the airport building Dad waving his walking stick in the air. He sits there with Marjolein mistake in the groepsapp. We are complete.
We fly at 15.00, so have to wait formore than an hour. The queue can begin. Control of boardingpass, luggage and waiting.
We chat some, Ryanair is too late.
At about 15.40. Waiting for permission from the control tower, the plane taxied, last appje to the home front, off the ground: Behind the clouds the sun shines.
We land, of course, too late, in Krakow. Get bus and off we go to the hotel. Freshen up, have a drink and then into town to get some food. Accidentally picked a very nice restaurant where we were warmly welcomed. Enjoyed a lovely meal in a very nice atmosphere. Dad understood little of the conversation, he also enjoyed the sight of the atmosphere around him.

Back to the hotel a quick shot of the square.
Tomorrow at 8:30 breakfast, for some, it sounded a little early. Working for a few(?) minutes on the report, is slightly less easy, but with some acrobatics .........
